Artist's Description
This photograph was taken last year at the Encinitas Butterfly Farm in San Diego California USA. We went back this year at the end of April and there were very few butterflies, but lots of butterfly-attracting plants. A beautiful one is in this photograph. In January, the founder of the Butterfly Farm was murdered. I think the rest of those involved are still trying to pull it all together. We keep supporting them.

I have been interested in digital art for 10 years. I am always looking for new iPad applications to enhance my collection mostly of flowers and birds in the San Diego and Encinitas area. I love sunrises and sunsets. I also have a hummingbird feeder which makes interesting subjects of the hummingbirds. I have also worked with polymer clay, watercolor, and pastel. My subject is often my cat named Splotchy. I am originally from Gulfport Florida and now live in San Diego California. I love to walk and my camera always comes with me.
