Hummingbird at Our Feeder Women's T-Shirt

I did this watercolor painting this afternoon at my San Diego California art room using a technique called Camera Lucida. I can’t explain the technique here but please look it up. You will be amazed. This is my first decent watercolor using the technique. I’m sure the next will be much better. I learned about the technique from a discussion group on FAA. The photograph that I used as a base was taken in our backyard with my iPhone 12Pro Max. My iPad Air was used to perform th Camera Lucida.

I have been interested in digital art for 10 years. I am always looking for new iPad applications to enhance my collection mostly of flowers and birds in the San Diego and Encinitas area. I love sunrises and sunsets. I also have a hummingbird feeder which makes interesting subjects of the hummingbirds. I have also worked with polymer clay, watercolor, and pastel. My subject is often my cat named Splotchy. I am originally from Gulfport Florida and now live in San Diego California. I love to walk and my camera always comes with me.
