Columbia Space Shuttle Acrylic Print

In 2003 I spent a year working for the United States Navy in Washington DC. I was assigned to work with submarine technology 20 years in the future. During that time I worked with NASA administrators on a project to trade information on safety. Our group was invited by NASA to Kennedy Space Center in Florida follow along with the launch of the Columbia Space Shuttle. Do you see me? I’m the only female. We were on the launchpad and that is the shuttle. We could have touched it, but we didn’t. This might be the last photo of the kind as Columbia crashed.

I have been interested in digital art for 10 years. I am always looking for new iPad applications to enhance my collection mostly of flowers and birds in the San Diego and Encinitas area. I love sunrises and sunsets. I also have a hummingbird feeder which makes interesting subjects of the hummingbirds. I have also worked with polymer clay, watercolor, and pastel. My subject is often my cat named Splotchy. I am originally from Gulfport Florida and now live in San Diego California. I love to walk and my camera always comes with me.
